Social & Creative Studies

Social & Creative Studies was born from the closure of Jigsaw's Woodwork department. Woodwork is still available for those that attended our workshop sessions, but it is now more craft centred and allows for a wider range of person centred activities to be undertaken.

Woodwork skills will focus on traditional hand tool use.

As well as learning and using traditional wood crafting skills people will have the opportunity to try many different things, both on and off site, including gaining skills and new abilities to help them toward eventual employment. In Social & Creative Studies as throughout our centre we maintain a visitor to staff ratio of 2:1, ensuring everyone receives a good level of individual instruction and support at all times.
